It is with great joy and satisfaction that we launch our new multi-functional website!

A good interactive communication tool is essential today for any effective network, like the WEA Mission Commission. This virtual meeting place offers new possibilities for channeling mission resources and for the needed interaction and dialogue between practitioners of Christ’s mission.

We believe that the website will be of great blessing for the Mission Commission Associates and for the whole worldwide mission community. Our gratitude goes to the communications team in South Africa for their excellent work.

We now also have a Mission Commission Facebook page and Twitter account, as social media is a great place for all of us to connect with each other.

This new website and social media presence is not just a revamp of a previous communication platform, but it is a new way for the Mission Commission to become an online community, and reduce our spatial separation.

At the recent MC Global Forum in Sweden this past September, the desire was expressed to create a “third table” where issues and challenges can be discussed. We trust that these online communication platforms, particularly the “Discussion” section of the new website, will contribute much to provide just such a “table” for dialogue and reflection. On the website you will find a login section where we invite you, our Mission Commission Associates, to create your personal account. This login will provide you secure access to a communication portal where articles and issues can be discussed within our community in a safe, online environment. We will discuss the relevance of this new “wineskin” for the Mission Commission at our Global Consultation in Turkey, for which you have also received an invite. Stay connected, as details will soon emerge for the Izmir 2014 registration process and program.
