The Mission Commission (MC) is a community of missions leaders seeking to strengthen participation in God’s mission. As one of the original commissions of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), we are an international and inter-generational community of global missions leaders and partner organisations who proactively reflect on shared issues in order to advance God’s mission.

MC Global Consultations, Round Tables, Forums, Working Groups and (leadership of) Projects are  open only to approved participants (MC Associates) or those nominated by an existing MC Associate. This is both a relational and security measure. The MC seeks to form a sense of community among mission leaders so that through participation God-glorifying and Kingdom-building relationships are made. It is also a security measure to safeguard MC Associates working in sensitive ministries.

ABOUT MC SUBSCRIBED PARTICIPATION

MC participation is by invitation only. If approved, missions leaders applying as individuals would be known within the MC as MC Associates (MCAs) and missions organisations are considered MC Partners (MCPs). Being an invitation-only community is not an attempt at being elitist or exclusive, but to ensure that those who participate are ‘like-minded’, are experienced missions leaders (or emerging leaders), share the faith commitment of the World Evangelical Alliance, and agree with the vision, values and purposes of the MC.

We do not have the resources to evaluate every application so we rely on existing participants to nominate and endorse new applicants. If you are unable to supply the name and email address of an existing MCA we will not be able to proceed with processing your application.

In addition to being nominated by an MC Associate, you will need to agree to abide by the responsibilities on all MC participants. Please visit our Code of Good Practice page and carefully read about our expectations for participants before returning here to complete your application form and consent to abide by those responsibilities.

One of our expectations is that MCA/MCPs contribute an annual subscription fee. This fee assists with MC administration costs. To remain equitable, we have scaled the fee according to an MCA/MCP’s self-declared annual income. The fee in US$ is revealed when you select an income range on the application form below. It will be invoiced to you from PayPal in October of each year. If you cannot use an online payment facility, we can make alternative arrangements available.
