We are deeply thankful for the work that has been done by GMI in stewarding knowledge for impact, and we pray for and trust with their team for the new season that lies ahead.
Here are a few brief comments from Jon Hirst on the GMI transition:
“In order to explain this transition, we have several key resources online. If you visit www.gmi.org/transition you will see the press release, a video from me, and an article on the “why” behind the closure. You will also be able to leave a remembrance of how GMI has impacted you for our team and others to read.
1. If you are a giver to GMI (or have ever given in the past), please continue your giving through the end of June. If you are open to giving us a gift towards our transition, it would be a huge blessing as we strive to finish well and take care of our team.
If you have been wanting to get a GMI product or service, now is the time. We will only be offering those products through the end of May.
2. As a way of stewarding the knowledge God has entrusted to us, we have set up a series of Knowledge Stewardship Grants. You can apply to receive GMI Intellectual Property as a grant towards future ministry. Take a moment to look at the suites of resources we are granting.
3. If you know a GMI staffer, take a moment to write them a note. This has been a long and challenging process and this will be a tough next few weeks as each of them are considering what might be next for them in their service to the Kingdom. And if you have any thoughts for a GMI staffer, many of their resumes will be up on the web page as well.”
